Studying Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University. Passionate about rocketry, engineering, aerospace, design & manufacturing, data science, languages, sustainability, music, and art.
As a result of my 3+ years of experience in and outside Columbia, I am determined to pursue a career in engineering where I can apply my design and manufacturing passions. I am interested in working alongside engineers in the professional industry who will help me continue to grow as an engineer dedicated to learning and leading. My prior roles have not only strengthened my engineering acumen but also prepared me to contribute meaningfully to projects that drive innovative solutions in engineering industries. I can adapt to new environments quickly, problem-solve, and lead and collaborate on projects.
I gained hands-on experience by assembling the mechanical and avionics hardware on space vehicles and designing custom testing equipment during my internship at Firefly Aerospace, which expanded my technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. At Parallel Development, I applied my design and machining skills to prototype a lighting assembly. I spearheaded this project from ideation to manufacturing, enhancing my precision and attention to detail. My role as a software engineering intern at Fugue provided exposure to software development tools and open-source projects. As a business development intern at Tryolabs, I refined my communication and teamwork skills from collaboration with various teams. Through the ACE NY Mentorship program, I worked with Acheson Doyle Partners Architects to design a multi-functional entertainment center and explored the fundamentals of architecture, structural engineering, and construction management.
As a Lead of my university’s Rocketry Team after three years on the team, I am responsible for overseeing the design and development of both solid and hybrid rocket systems. Managing a team of over sixty students, I regularly lead workshops and advise on the use of complex engineering tools. This role has sharpened my ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, problem-solve in real time, and deliver results in a dynamic environment. I've also played a key role in pioneering innovative solutions for our rocket's mechanical systems.
Through coursework in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Solid and Fluid Mechanics, Machine and Engineering Design, Python, Data Science for Mechanical Systems, Computer Graphics & Design, Materials and Processes in Manufacturing, and Human Factors Engineering, I have developed a strong foundation in problem solving, analytical thinking, and computational modeling.
I am passionate about finding innovative and sustainable solutions that will advance technology and impact our life on Earth. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my technical skills, passion for engineering, and creative problem solving.
